Miss Kingfisher

The type of melody you can hear is called a Polka. The Polka is another type of tune which doesn’t originally come from Scotland. A dance which originated in the 19th Century in what is now the Czech Republic, Polkas quickly became popular across Europe and America, and are now quite commonly played by traditional musicians in Scotland and especially Ireland.
